We have options for short or long-term rental agreements. This can come in useful for power outages, unforeseen costly repairs, or to protect sensitive equipment. Our technicians will come onsite and assess the capacity and power requirements for your project. We currently have 5, 3, and 1-ton units available.

What is Eddy Current Testing?
EDDY CURRENT TESTING IS BASED ON THE PRINCIPLE OF A CONDUCTOR BEING EXPOSED TO A PULSATING FIELD WHICH IN TURN THE CONDUCTOR WILL DEVELOP WITHIN ITSELF ITS OWN ELECTRICAL CURRENT. THIS CURRENT FLOWS IN A DIRECTION PERPENDICULAR TO THE SUPPLY CURRENT.

THE THEORY WAS FIRST INTRODUCED IN 1879. THE FIRST COMMERCIAL USE OF THIS TYPE OF TESTING WAS INTRODUCED IN 1930 AND WAS CALLED THE MODEL E PROBOLOG. EDDY CURRENT TESTING EQUIPMENT UTILIZES THE FREQUENCY GENERATOR, IMPEDANCE BRIDGE, AS WELL AS A PROBE THAT HOUSES ONE OR MORE COILS.
How it works

EDDY CURRENT TESTING IS SIMPLY ONE FORM OF NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING AND IS BASED ON THE THEORY OF BEING A COMPARISON TEST. MEANING: WE ARE TAKING AN IDENTICAL SPECIMEN (STANDARD) TO THE TUBING UNDER TEST. THIS STANDARD HAS KNOWN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL DEFECTS OF A KNOWN DEPTH AND MAGNITUDE AND WE ARE COMPARING THE TEST RESULTS TO THAT STANDARD.
